Spokesman of the General Commission: Another 584 vehicles were inspected and fined on January 9, 2022
(Phnom Penh): At least a total of 584 vehicles were inspected and fined by police across the country on January 9, 2022, including 441 motorcycles and 143 cars. This is according to Lt. Gen. Chhay Kim Khoeun, Deputy Commissioner General and spokesman for the National Police, confirmed to Fresh News.
According to the spokesperson, as of January 9, 2022, traffic police nationwide inspected and fined a total of 5,110 vehicles, including 3,777 motorcycles and 1,333 vehicles.
Notable offenses for motorcycles are mostly without a helmet, a cell phone, a drunken sign and no license plate. Separately, the car violated the speed, violated the sign, no driver's license, no license plate, no phone, no seat belt.
Lt. Gen. Chhay Kim Khoeun continued that the implementation of Sub-Decree No. 39 to fine the offending vehicle went well. He thanked and commended all the road users for their good obedience to the traffic law in the past, especially the traffic police for their dedication and hard work. Tighten traffic with the highest sense of responsibility.
Please note that for January 9, 2022, traffic accidents throughout the country also occurred 6 times, in which 2 people died, 6 people were injured (05 people were seriously injured). In the past nine days, there have been 107 traffic accidents, resulting in 54 deaths and 147 injuries (100 seriously injured).
