India's New Delhi imposes curfew this weekend as 19 cases of Kovid infection on the rise

NEW DELHI: India's capital New Delhi will take austerity measures this weekend as authorities deal with an increase in new cases caused by the rapidly spreading Omicron mutation virus. This is according to the release by AFP on Tuesday, January 4, 2021.

The country was hit by the worst 19 cases of Kovid outbreak last year, with hospitals and crematoriums full of patients, but the number of daily cases continued to fall sharply. Last week.

New Delhi's new restrictions come just a day after the mayor of the city, Arvind Kejriwal, announced that he had crossed Covid 19.

The capital has decided to close gyms and cinemas, as well as impose an overnight curfew in an effort to stem the spread.

All residents except key staff will be asked to stay home from Friday night to Monday morning.
