Donald Trump's "Truth Social" social network scheduled to launch next month
Former United States President Donald Trump's social network "Truth Social" is reportedly set to launch on February 21. This is according to the release of Reuters on January 7, 2022.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the social media management company "Truth Social", has not yet officially confirmed when the app will be officially launched, but according to the app's presence list. Apple's Store has confirmed that the app will launch on February 21st.
"Truth Social" is similar to Twitter in that it allows users to post and send messages to each other.
The launch comes 13 months after Meta Platforms Inc (Facebook) and Twitter banned Trump for encouraging his supporters to take part in the January 6 attack on the White House. The United States, based on unconfirmed claims of fraud and prevalence in the 2020 presidential election.
TMTG recently received about $ 1 billion in investment from investors, boosting its market capitalization to $ 5.3 billion.
