 The number of train passengers per day increased from 19,000 on the opening day of the train to 33,000 for designated routes in China, with a total of 620,000 passengers.

 The number of international passengers traveling through the railway line in Laos increased from 1,000 per day on the opening day to 2,600, bringing the total number of passengers on the train to more than 50,000.

 The high-speed train also reduced the time and cost of transportation from Kunming in Yunnan Province and Vientiane, Laos to 30 hours, with 380 freight trains traveling on the tracks. This is from December 3, bringing the total to 170,000 tons, including 70 international freight trains.

 The Global Times reported that the goods shipped were initially rubber and fertilizer, followed by electronics, solar panels, telecommunications equipment, textiles, vegetables, flowers and other products.

 With the entry into force of the RCEP agreement from January 1, the volume of goods transported on the China-Laos railway is expected to increase.
