 HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 16,472 new cases of Covid 19 infection in the last 24 hours. This was released by the Viet Nam News Agency on the night of January 6, 2022.

 Hanoi, which is currently the epicenter of the outbreak, covered 2,5716 new cases today, while Ho Chi Minh City reported 442 cases. The provinces with the highest number of cases are Hải Phòng (923), Tây Ninh (853) and Khánh Hòa (800).

 In a report on Thursday, the Vietnamese Ministry of Health also announced 169 new cases of Covid 19.
