Israeli PM says Kovid-19 vaccine "fourth dose" could increase antibodies by up to 5 times
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Tuesday that the fourth dose of COVID-19 could increase the number of antibodies up to five times a week after vaccination. This was released by Reuters on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Naftali Bennett made the remarks based on a report from a preliminary study on the fourth dose of the vaccine in Israel. "One week after the fourth dose, we found that the fourth dose was very safe ... and we also saw that the number of antibodies increased fivefold," he said. "On those who have been vaccinated (dose 4)."
Israel is currently working on a fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine for the elderly 60 years and older, health workers and people with weakened immune systems facing a rapid spread of the new Omicron mutation virus.
