Four former former CNRP leaders join politics with the CPP

 (Kampong Cham): Four other former local leaders of the former National Rescue Party in Kampong Cham province joined the political life with the Cambodian People's Party on December 20, 2021.
 

The welcoming ceremony for the former local leaders of the four former CNRP was presided over by Mr. Un Chanda, Provincial Governor and President of the Cambodian People's Party in Kampong Cham Province.T

he local leaders of the four former CNRP members who have joined the CPP with political life include:

* First: Mrs. Toeng Sopheap, former member of CNRP Council, Sangkat Veal Vong

 * Second: Mrs. Toeng Kealiv, former member of CNRP Council, Sangkat Veal Vong

* Third: Mr. So Son, former reserve member of CNRP council, Mean commune, Prey Chhor district

* Fourth: Mr. Pong Ngon, former Reserve Member of CNRP Council, Sangkat Veal Vong, Kampong Cham City.

Please be informed that the former CNRP was dissolved by the Supreme Court in November 2017 in connection with systemic treason. With the dissolution sentence, the court also banned 118 party leaders from political activity for five years.

So far, however, 28 former CNRP leaders have been rehabilitated by the King and Acting Head of State, forming a new party and joining the CPP. Also.
